August 2024 Community Newsletter
Dues Reminder
The second half of the dues were sent out in June, due in July. Late fees have been applied, keys turned off, and final notices sent to all homeowners. We’ll be sending accounts to collections where attorney fees are accrued and liens may be placed on your home. If you have not reached out to set up payment, please do so immediately to avoid further fees.
Neighborhood Watch
The Paramount Neighborhood Watch committee is hosting a gathering for all residents on September 4th, from 6-7pm, at the clubhouse. We’ll chat with local law enforcement representatives who will tell us in detail about what crime looks like in Paramount and what we can do to help our community continue to be a safe neighborhood for all. We look forward to seeing you there.
Pool Closings
We’re nearing the end of the season for swimming. We always stay open until Labor Day, and then start watching the weather forecasts. We’ll stay open as long as we can in September while temperatures allow. We’ll send out an email update as soon as we set a closing date.
Pool Rules
One of the most commonly violated rules in the pool is:
We understand you may have some snacks when sitting in chairs taking a break, but we’ve had people bringing in barbecues, pizza parties, and cakes. We even received pictures of residents eating rice and noodle take-out while standing in the pool. Stuff like this often causes us to do more cleaning and maintenance, which costs everyone. Please be respectful of others when using the facilities.
Landscaping
We’re nearing the end of our irrigation season. It’s time to finish all your landscaping projects before the water turns off. Be sure to continue weeding and addressing any dead or dying plants and trees in yards. Make sure you are being a good neighbor and trimming large trees that might be going onto neighboring properties. Please remember sidewalks should have 8 feet of clearance for pedestrians, and streets should have 14 feet of clearance. Don’t let your plants block signs or corners. This is for safety. Our yards are part of the first impressions of the community, so please keep them up.
Pet Etiquette
Please remember to keep your pet(s) leashed when not on your property, as well as picked up after. We regularly hear about dogs charging others. There is a Meridian Leash Law for dogs, but cats are also a problem. Help keep our common areas clean by not leaving behind pet waste. There are plenty of bag dispensers. Please dispose of used bags in your own trash can or the trash cans at the pools.
Clubhouse Dumpster
There is a dumpster at the clubhouse for the clubhouse only!! It is not for residents to dump all their extra garbage, mattresses, or mowers. This is for those that have parties at the clubhouse, who need to clean up afterward. This is also for the trash that we accumulate on a regular basis in the clubhouse. When residents fill the dumpster with their stuff, there’s no space for the clubhouse trash. Please do not use the dumpster!
