December 2024 Community Newsletter
Happy Holidays!
We wish you the most wonderful holidays with family and friends. The Brighton offices will be closed on the following dates:
Christmas – Tuesday, December 24th and Wednesday, December 25th.
New Year’s – Tuesday, December 31st and Wednesday, January 1st.
Annual Light Contest
THIS week, judges are picking winners for the annual light contest. The neighborhood looks very festive and bright. Everyone did a great job decorating! Five winners will be chosen and announced by the end of next week. Good luck to all the participants!
Package Theft
During the holidays, package delivery increases tremendously. Sadly, some packages get stolen from porches and this activity has been reported in Paramount. If this happens to you, it’s important to report it. Call the police using the non-emergency dispatch number at:208-888-6678. Reporting helps law enforcement increase patrols and try to prevent more thefts in the future.
Dues Statements
2025 dues statements are being mailed out this week. They are due in January, and late fees will be applied in February. Be sure to reach out to make payments if needed prior to late fees being assessed.
Pumphouse Update
Work on the Cayuse Creek pumphouse is in progress. We had to work with a building consultant and an engineer to design the rebuild. It’s taken quite some time to get everything going. We will do what we can to keep this entry open for traffic access during this process, but please remind all your family drivers to go extra slowly in this area. We don’t want any of the crew injured by speeding drivers.
Snow Removal
We seem to be getting closer to snow making an appearance each week. Make sure you do not push snow from your sidewalks and driveways into the streets. Snow should go on your lawns, and if you are near a street drain, please be sure to keep it clear.
Safety Tip
To keep your kids safe at night, attach bright reflectors or lights to their bikes, scooters, or hoverboards. This makes them easily seen by passing cars in the dark, which can prevent accidents.
Rocky Mountain High School
Rocky Mountain High School is a closed campus while classes are in session from 7:15am – 3:15pm. Only students are allowed on the school grounds during these hours. Signs are posted as a reminder. Homeowners that utilize the school grounds for walks will need to take a different route during closed campus hours.
Signage
Yard signs advertising Christmas light installation, sprinkler blow outs, etc. are not permitted. If you have a political campaign sign, a reminder that the display period has ended. Political signs are only permitted 7 days after the election, so they should all be cleaned up by now.
Clubhouse Parking Lot
Please do not use the clubhouse parking lot to park your extra cars, trailers, or other vehicles. This parking area is only for residents who are using the clubhouse facilities. Violators will be towed away at your own expense.
Food Trucks
We’ve had quite a few requests for food trucks to be brought to the community. We’ve had a few off and on visits. If this is something residents like from time to time, please support by visiting their trucks. Another is set to set up on December 22nd in the clubhouse parking lot from 9am to noon. It’s Sweet-n-Simple, specializing in sweet treats like cinnamon rolls, turnovers, scones, and more. They do pre-orders even, and you can find them on Facebook at Sweet-n-Simple, or 208.954.9640. What a great way to start to weekend…
