Fireworks

If your holiday celebration includes fireworks, understanding legality and safety is crucial. In Idaho, purchasing aerial fireworks is permitted, yet their use is unlawful due to their potential to ignite wildfires and causing injury. Always prioritize safety and adhere to local regulations when handling fireworks.  Please clean up after yourselves. Even safe and sane fireworks can leave messes in yards and streets. Be sure to appropriately soak and dispose of any messes. Common areas may not be used to light off fireworks. Also, please be aware that not all neighbors and pets like fireworks, so be aware of the time you are setting off fireworks. We greatly appreciate everyone’s consideration, and hope you have a very safe and enjoyable holiday!

Pool Chairs

Residents have been “reserving” poolside chairs by placing personal items, such as towels, early in the morning and then departing. This practice prevents fair enjoyment for the entire community, given our large population. No seat-saving is allowed!

Noise Ordinance

Please be considerate of your neighbors by adhering to the city’s noise ordinance, effective from 10 PM. This regulation is applicable to all communal areas, including swimming pools and parks.

Pedestrian Safety

Concerned residents reported two very close calls they experienced while driving in the community.  One near collision was with a motorcycle, the other with an electric bike.  In both incidents, the kids darted out from behind parked cars without looking. Parents and caregivers must instill in children the importance of pedestrian and vehicle safety. Simultaneously, drivers are urged to decrease speed and remain alert to the unpredictable presence of young cyclists and pedestrians.  The Meridian Parks Department urges reporting these incidents to the non-emergency police dispatch at: 208-377-6790.

Kingsley Park

The increasing use of electric bikes, motorized scooters, and bicycles on Kingsley Park’s grass is causing significant damage, including ruts. Parents, please inform your children that the park restricts such activities.

Facilities Parking

Please do not use the clubhouse or pool parking lots to park your extra cars, trailers, or other vehicles. These parking areas are only for residents who are using the facilities. Violators will be towed away at your own expense.

Pet Etiquette

We know we say it constantly, but hopefully it will soon sink in to those that are still not getting it… Dogs should always be leashed when off your property to prevent unexpected encounters with people, other animals and cars.  Please remember to clean up after your pet. It’s not pleasant, but responsible pet ownership requires it. Respect others and keep public spaces and parks clean for everyone.

Food Trucks

We have had some requests for food trucks to visit the community from time to time. Some have come by the clubhouse, and some to parks. We’re open to this if any volunteer or volunteers want to help coordinate this. On July 7th, SweetnSimple and Rightsideoftheboat FishnChips will be visiting Crosby Park from 4:30-7pm.
