Pumpkin Trailer

Don’t forget to come out to the clubhouse on Thursday, September 25th, from 5-7:30pm to purchase pumpkins from the local Helms Family Farm. Idaho Mini Donuts will be joining the festivities offering freshly-made sweet treats.

Irrigation Shutoff

The irrigation season is coming to a close.  Settlers Irrigation District will shut off water distribution on October 10th.  Don’t forget to schedule your sprinkler blowouts.

Daylight Hours

Fall is here and it’s getting dark earlier.  Please ensure your home’s exterior lights are on from dusk till dawn. Illuminated surroundings enhance community safety and deter opportunistic crime.

Severe Tree Damage

The HOA does not want to discourage outdoor activities for children, getting fresh air and exploring the great outdoors!  However, it’s important to instill a sense of responsibility and respect for the environment and the property of others. The spruce tree, below, is over two decades old and has been nearly cut all the way through the trunk.  The tree has been assessed by a Certified Arborist. Spruce trees, unfortunately, do not recover well from physical damage. Even if this tree survives, its structural integrity is compromised, posing a risk of toppling during severe weather. Parents, it is imperative to educate your children on the importance of respecting and preserving nature and cleaning up after themselves.

Fall Lawn Care Tips

Fighting weeds is a year-round battle, so don’t forget fall weed control. It’ll give you a jump on a healthier lawn in the spring. While weeds are working hard on their top growth in the summer, in fall they’re storing energy in their root system, which means they’re more susceptible to herbicide applications.

Zap them now, and it will be harder for them to send their roots deeper into the ground.  Applying weed killer in the fall will get rid of many perennial broadleaf weeds like dandelions, clover, thistle, etc.

Holiday Lighting

Summer has flown by, kids are back in school and, before you know it, the holiday season will be here.  We are already seeing companies advertise their lighting services, attracting homeowners with early installation discounts and extra savings for those willing to display promotional yard signs.  A reminder, both services being offered to homeowners violate the community guidelines below:

  • Holiday decorations may be installed 30 days prior to the holiday and must be removed within 30 days after the holiday.
  • No yard signs are permitted.

Pedestrian Safety

The kids are back at school walking to and from bus stops.  Parents and caregivers, help your youngsters understand the importance of bicycle and street crossing safety.  Motorists, reduce your speed while driving in the community and be vigilant of youngsters biking, walking and playing.

Trash Cleanup

When utilizing communal areas like pavilions and parks, and other shared spaces, ensure you clean up after yourself.  Although garbage bins are available, if they’re nearing capacity, responsibly dispose of trash at home.

Noise Ordinance

Please be considerate of your neighbors by adhering to the city’s noise ordinance, effective from 10 PM. This regulation is applicable to all communal areas, including swimming pools and parks.

Kingsley Park

The increasing use of electric bikes, motorized scooters, and bicycles on Kingsley Park’s grass is causing significant damage, including ruts. Parents, please inform your children that the park restricts such activities.

Pet Etiquette

We know we say it constantly, but hopefully it will soon sink in to those that are still not getting it… Dogs should always be leashed when off your property to prevent unexpected encounters with people, other animals and cars.  Please remember to clean up after your pet. It’s not pleasant, but responsible pet ownership requires it. Respect others and keep public spaces and parks clean for everyone.
